  • I’m interested in the intersect of women in society, particularly when it comes to issues surrounding sex and violence. In this piece, besides playing around with the visual elements (making it trippy as hell), I wanted to channel that era of “femme fatale” found in media/film during the 1940s-1950s, where roles of women seemed to be more encompassing and nuanced.

These characters emerged as complex, dynamic figures who embodied both allure and agency, challenging traditional, passive female roles. The women were often sharp, intelligent, and morally ambiguous, reflecting societal tensions and offering a rare portrayal of female autonomy and power within a restrictive era.
