THE THINKER

This self-portrait of A/S The Artist is rich with symbolic imagery, embodying both introspection and femininity within a single day.

The artwork features a fine-lined silhouette of the artist in a pose reminiscent of Rodin’s The Thinker, with a 24-line sun above representing the hours of a day. A pink wave, typical of societal color association to female gender, Whereas a straight dashed red line in the bottom right symbolizes blood, menstruation, and renewal. Meanwhile, the profile of a lime-green dragon over the artist’s face signifies a desire for anonymity.
